Kyawazaru Mission House Opens

Sitting on 56 acres and now responsible for managing two solar powered water projects and the OnMission farm, Mission House is now open. Two of the three staff are living on site and cultivation and planting has begun.

This project in total approached $105,000 in total acquisition, construction and land preparation/planting costs. We are so grateful to everyone who embraced this vision and saw the value of fresh water and food stabilization for students and for vulnerable and marginalized people living in the poverty of central Tanzania.

Yes the work continues. We are seeking $75,000 for a tractor and implements to improve farming yields of this land and to distribute water to nearby villages.

The less time students spend collecting water the more time they have for studies. The better nourished and hydrated students are, the better there attention in school. This project is directly associated with the significant improvement of local students on their national examinations.

This is important work.
